Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations – PRINCIPAL BUSINESS ANALYST
The Role
As a member of the team, the Principal Analyst leads initiatives with diverse scope and complexity, acting as the primary interface between end users, product management, and the systems organization. Our Analysts collaborate with business partners to assess complex business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions. We work with business practitioners such as Portfolio Managers, Senior Management, and Attribution Analysts in defining analytical approaches to solving business requests. Finally, we support our Agile team’s dedication to quality by crafting and implementing tests that address business needs and ensure the delivery of solutions to our end users.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
- A minimum of five years of related experience; Financial Services experience preferred
- Proficiency in investment instruments, financial markets, performance measurement methodologies preferred
- A self-starter and excellent team member who is independent, collaborative, and can work with minimum supervision
- Proven expertise in various business analysis methodologies and techniques, including data analysis, use case development, story writing, user acceptance testing, and product documentation.

- Ability to translate business requirements into well-defined key performance indicators
- A highly curious and motivated learner with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; Communicates clearly, concisely and impactfully to influence others

- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
- Proven ability to work in an Agile environment is preferred
The Team
The Business Unit: Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products; preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns; monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks; processing corporate actions; collecting securities income on behalf of the funds; reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions; and managing fund liquidity.
