The Role

Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology is looking for Principal System Analyst to join our technology team to collaborate/partner with engineering teams to design and implement high business value strategic and tactical solutions within Enterprise Digital Operations using both cloud and distributed platform technologies in a fast-paced agile team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Excellent systems analysis skills, and robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and to engage with peers in technical and design discussions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and adapting to organizational changes
  • Experience in communicating technical concept, capabilities and business needs to non-technical team members, engineering and product leaders, and stakeholders
  • Efficiency in written and verbal communications and dedication to tailoring content to the appropriate audience (business vs. technology, associate vs. management, etc.)
  • Ability to influence behavior without having organizational hierarchy
  • Ability to translate business requirement to technical specification
  • Asks exploratory questions to uncover hidden or un-identified use cases and requirements
  • Proficiency in authoring user stories, acceptance criteria, supporting documentation including product guides, business process diagrams and/or system workflows
  • Skilled at influencing team members and external groups
  • Effective communication and people-interaction skills
  • Deep knowledge of scrum tools – Jira, Jira Align experience desirable
  • Have a good understanding of product/solution architecture, and advice engineering leaders on technical strategy, and provide/guide on risk assessment
  • Good knowledge of Software development lifecycle, and production incident analysis

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Deep experience in software development, with at least 6+ years working with engineering teams focused on building software solutions for technology initiatives
  • 6+ years of experience in system analysis, financial service experience is a benefit
  • An understanding of the Agile software development methodology
  • Ability to perform technical analysis of Cloud and distributed technologies.
  • Proven experience in AWS concepts and console navigation, Swagger, API concepts, Spring Core, XML, REST, JSON, and Splunk / Datadog queries.
  • Experience with database query tools / Strong SQL skills
  • Working understanding of QA automation
  • Ability to brainstorm with teams on solutions to address challenges and roadblocks
