Position Description:
Generates Analytical insights to drive business actions using a range of analytical tools and programming languages -- SQL, Python, and R. Designs and develops dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, and Qlik. Uses and queries big data technologies -- Snowflake, and Athena -- for data storage and processing. Develops analytical approaches including database analytics, digital analytics, A/B testing, data visualization and tools and delivers data-driven actionable insights to enable objective, informed business, and product decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides data driven insights by formulating together seemingly disparate data points from multiple sources, customer attributes and behaviors, transactional history, call transcripts, digital activity, business financials into building valuable cohesive story.
- Develops and leads data and hypothesis driven initiatives by using data, analytics, engineering, data science, marketing, and actionable product development strategies.
- Translates a business need or question into a hypothesis that can be validated via experimentation or data analysis.
- Performs independent and complex business and functional analysis for several initiatives to serve the business outcome.
- Uses data to tell a story of customer experience, highlighting both successes and friction points to inform future initiatives and strategies.
- Delivers insights from data to Senior Leadership in a simple, clear, and actionable way.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Advanced Data Analytics and Insights (or closely related occupation) performing data analytics and customer insights using Snowflake, Python, R, SQL, AtScale, Alteryx, and Tableau in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Advanced Data Analytics and Insights (or closely related occupation) performing data analytics and customer insights using Snowflake, Python, R, SQL, AtScale, Alteryx, and Tableau in a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing and researching trends – using big data technologies and languages -- Snowflake, Python and R on Snowflake; and building capabilities to identify service scaling opportunities and improving the customer experience.
- DE modeling and building customer attributes and behaviors, transactions, interactions and financial data (correlation, covariance, volatility, and industry classification of assets) using Alteryx, Python, AtScale and Snowflake.
- DE developing visualizations using Tableau to build stories backed by data dashboard.
- DE utilizing a data-driven approach to decision making through experimental design and practical applications using Snowflake, Alteryx, Python & R, SQL, and Tableau.
