Position Description:
Provides analytics, financial management, Financial Planning and Analysis, and strategic support to drive improved outcomes and financial results to the organization. Generates and delivers impactful and insightful analysis, using financial modeling and presentation tools. Partners closely with other teams to support analytics around scaling and re-designing cost structure, investment benefit realization, and ongoing pricing strategy. Builds digital reporting using Business Intelligence (BI) tools (Tableau, Power BI, Knime, DOMO, and Alteryx).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs data transformation and manipulates data to craft digital analysis, using visualization tools.
- Analyzes current reporting, data sources, and required data transformation to deliver impactful and intuitive digital visualizations.
- Defines requirements to build digital content for financial analysis.
- Communicates and works effectively with business partners and finance team to ensure the digital information delivered provides the targeted answers to pertinent questions and initiatives.
- Collaborates effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Finds alternative standard methodologies and solutions while maintaining the pace of delivering results.
- Drives high impact and high visibility projects and deliverables across the organization.
- Streamlines work processes and simplifies models to work more efficiently and effectively.
- Performs ad-hoc projects to support requests from business and finance partners.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Management, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Financial Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing data analysis within a financial services environment, using financial modeling and business intelligence tools (Anaplan, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Knime, Alteryx, and Power BI).
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Management, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Financial Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing data analysis within a financial services environment, using financial modeling and business intelligence tools (Anaplan, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), Knime, Alteryx, and Power BI).
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing research and analysis of financial institutions (plan sponsors and their participants) by extracting, mining, triangulating, and analyzing data, using data analysis tools and platforms -- Next Generation Allocated Views (NGAV), Salesforce, Workforce Data Lake (WFDL), and Anaplan.
- DE preparing customized, executive-level PowerPoint presentations to identify and analyze customer economics and profitability trends and assessing the strategic implications for use by senior business stakeholders, using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint (Thinkcell), Power BI, and Word).
- DE performing business reporting and analysis for business associates and leaders to drive decision- making around investment strategies, prioritization of internal initiatives, business growth planning, and performance measurements against performance indicators, using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint (ThinkCell), and Power BI; and performing reporting process automation and streamlining to enhance efficiency and accuracy, using automation tools (Advanced Excel Modeling/Macros, Knime, and Alteryx).
- DE conducting secondary research or financial analysis using activity-based costing methods to support ROI analysis, benefits realization of internal and external initiatives, and inform client pricing outputs, using NGAV, Salesforce, Snowflake, SQL, and Alteryx.
Salary: $118,248.00 - $127,000.00/year.
