Job Description:

The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst at Fidelity Workplace Consulting, your role will be embedded in the Fidelity Workplace Investing Agile Model. You will assess business needs, outline detailed analyses, compose user stories with explicit descriptions and acceptance criteria, establish business acceptance testing plans and strategies, and offer solutions for medium to high complexity business needs.

Collaborate with a diverse team of team members within Fidelity’s Workplace Consulting Unit’s Digital Solutions Technology teams to reach business goals.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

Business Analysis & Agile Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis techniques including benchmarking, business rules analysis, risk analysis, user personas, UAT, and product documentation.

  • Experience supporting product development teams handling interconnected products.

  • Experience contributing to the development of multiple products simultaneously, including managing overlapping priorities, coordinating with multi-functional teams, and ensuring consistent delivery of business requirements across diverse initiatives.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to capture/document requirements and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Agile approach with background in tools like Jira, Confluence, and Miro or comparable experience.

Technical & Data Skills

  • SQL Proficiency: Proficient in crafting and implementing SQL queries for analyzing data and developing test scenarios.

  • API Testing: Familiarity with tools like Postman, Bruno, Insomnia; understanding of how to call APIs, analyze responses, and review Swagger documentation.

  • Collaborating with developers to draft and improve technical narratives and criteria for approval.

Documentation & UX Tools

  • Highly organized and experienced in crafting documentation for SaaS products and web applications.

  • Proficient in Confluence for structured documentation.

  • Skilled in employing Figma or comparable tools to assess UI/UX creations.

  • Proficient with Miro or equivalent experience for UX and project management diagramming.

  • Experience with UML and diagramming tools such as Draw.io, or Visio for process flows and architecture diagrams.

Communication & Leadership

  • Tenacious information gatherer with a desire to understand all aspects of a project/product.

  • Confident in facilitating discussions with various collaborators and posing important inquiries to reveal uncertainties.

  • Able to clearly explain complex requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Serves as a conduit between business and development teams, translating requirements and facilitating communication.

Additional Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS).

  • Preferred candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; CBAP certification is a plus.

The Fidelity Workplace Consulting Group is made up of over 600 professionals who advise clients on the management of their domestic and global benefits. We are a fast-growing business within Fidelity, offering a broad range of services that span benefits design, strategy, funding, communication, and delivery. While we primarily serve Fortune 1000 companies, we also work with Fidelity clients of all sizes ranging from Fortune 50 to tax-exempt market to Fortune 2000. The base salary range for this position is $80,000-153,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
