Job Description:

~ Please note, this posting is for 2 separate roles: VP, Head of Strategic Market Communications Consulting and VP, Head of Large/Select Market Communications Consulting. Please apply if you are interested in either role.

The Role

As VP, Head of Strategic Market Communications Consulting, you will lead the Communications Consultant group who helps Fidelity's Strategic market clients convey critical information to their employees, retirees and other participants by designing and delivering outstanding communication strategies and materials through a variety of channels. This role will lead a team of about 70 associates supporting Workplace Investing’s Strategic market clients (approximately the top 350 corporate clients).

As VP, Head of Large/Select Market Communications Consulting, you will lead the Communications Consultant group who helps Fidelity's Large & Select market clients convey critical information to their employees, retirees and other participants by designing and delivering outstanding communication strategies and materials through a variety of channels. This role will lead a team of about 60 associates supporting Workplace Investing’s Large & Select market clients.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully managing teams

  • 15+ years' experience in employee benefit plans, consulting and/or financial services

  • Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses or attained within 120 days of hire

  • Clear track record of success within large, complex organizations as well as substantial experience in managing high performing teams.

  • Strategic thinking while balancing the tactical execution oversight

  • Proven track record to navigate and influence across the organization

  • Ability to collaborate and work in fast paced and matrixed environment – reliant on relationship building and data interpretation

  • Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal skills. A highly effective communicator for internal collaboration and executive presentation

  • Able to assess information from multiple angles and break down complex information into concepts and data to drive insights and action

  • Customer Obsessed - Continuously listening to customer needs, learning, and adapting, to deliver the best end-to-end experience

  • Ability to develop a team, influence and make sound hiring recommendations as appropriate

  • Highly effective in managing internal relationships, effectively collaborating with business unit as well as across separate divisions, business units and functional departments of a complex organization

  • Handles highly escalated client interactions and works with MD leaders to solve highly complex problems independently.

  • Strategic Leadership & Management - driving the business forward from strategy formulation to execution within and across interdependent business units

  • Operations leadership – assessing and improving process, risks/controls, end-to-end value chain connections

  • Executive leadership presence – Representing the department and the firm through professional and respected external and internal leadership

  • Incident management – Handling escalated situations with appropriate urgency, context, and risk mitigation focus.

  • Influence and negotiation – Facilitating innovation and go to market alignment by working closely with teams outside of your direct control

  • Marketing & Communications acumen – Helping shape the market facing strategies, client, and participant messaging that resonates and effectively accomplishes client and firm objectives

The Team

C&E provides consulting, content development, and multi-channel delivery services for business partners, prospects, plan sponsors, and their participants across all market segments. This role leads multiple teams of Communication Consultants who are responsible for client consulting, design and execution of benefits communication and education efforts for plan sponsors. We are focused on creating a culture centered around teamwork and collaboration. We put an emphasis on attracting, developing and retaining a diverse workforce. The Leader will drive client and participant satisfaction for Fidelity’s communication and education programs and proactively identifies, leads or participates in critical initiatives that will positively impact Fidelity and our clients.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
