Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
The Role
The Board Finance team works with and supports a variety of customers including Fidelity-wide business unit leaders, and independent trustees. A successful candidate will develop and use their knowledge of the Fidelity businesses and investment products to support the renewal of mutual fund fee contracts. The team is responsible for providing the Fidelity Trustees with materials and analysis in support of their consideration of the Funds’ contracts with Fidelity. The team interacts with each business division and is focused primarily on the competitiveness of fund fees and the profitability of the mutual fund business.
The Senior Financial Analyst is part of a team responsible for the delivery of accurate, high quality financial information for Fidelity’s boards. Primary responsibilities include:
Drive the delivery of consolidated Fund Profitability results through management of the central Fund Profitability model
Assist with preparation of materials for Fund Board meetings; provide backup support for materials; address questions from Trustees
Assist in the production and analysis of quarterly and annual Asset Management Fund Profitability results; work with finance and business partners to understand how changes within the business impact Fund Profitability; report quarterly and annual results to broader team and senior leaders
Contribute to various ad hoc projects, including Board-requested analyses, review of methodology, etc.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
At least 4 years of professional experience in finance, preferably in the financial services industry
A self-motivated teammate who brings energy, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity
Works effectively as part of a team, and successfully collaborates with business partners
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, working independently to perform tasks
Strong written and oral communication skills – can articulate clearly with all levels of employees
Proficiency in modeling, presentation, and data visualization tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Oracle BI, Power BI)
Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise, digestible, and actionable stories
Ability to respond to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work

The Team
The Board Finance team sits within Asset Management Finance and provides to each of the five Fidelity Boards of Trustees the Fund Profitability information and analysis they need in order to annually approve the Fidelity funds’ investment management, transfer agency, and pricing & bookkeeping contracts.
The base salary range for this position is $80,000-153,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
