Senior Manager Data Analytics and Insights

As a Senior Manager on the Talent Data Analytics & Insights team, you will bring deep analytical expertise to drive strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Enterprise Talent programs. Your work will span a diverse array of solutions—from talent analytics to process automation—delivering insights that shape how we attract, develop, and retain top talent.

In this role, you will build strong cross-functional partnerships with Talent, HR, and business leaders to understand their needs and deliver impactful data-driven solutions. This team plays a pivotal role in providing leaders with visibility into candidate and associate data, enabling insight-driven decision making and creating exceptional talent experiences.

The Role

As a Senior Manager, Data Analytics & Insights, you will play a meaningful role in delivering high-quality, impactful analytics and insights to Talent, HR and business leaders.. You will lead efforts to transform candidate, associate, and operational data into actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making across Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Talent Learning and Development.

Leveraging tools such as Alteryx, SQL, and data visualization platforms – Tableau/Power BI, you will design and implement data workflows, models, and dashboards that make talent data accessible, interpretable, and impactful. You will also support workforce data initiatives, ensuring analytics solutions are aligned with business needs and delivered efficiently. Your ability to uncover trends, tell compelling data stories, and translate complex analytics into business recommendations will be instrumental in shaping the future of our talent strategy.

Your technical skills will support the business in making data-driven talent decisions. The work you do will allow the analysts to communicate trends, patterns, and predictive information found within talent-related data using various analytical and statistical tools and techniques.

  • Design and optimize advanced Alteryx workflows to deliver scalable talent analytics and workforce insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using SQL (Snowflake, SQL Server), with a focus on performance tuning and query optimization; working knowledge of Python and/or R is a strong plus
  • Create and enhance interactive dashboards and visualizations in Tableau and Power BI to support leadership with real-time insights and compelling data storytelling
  • Implement scalable data models and solutions that uncover talent trends, automate workforce processes, implement process improvements, and support evolving organizational analytics needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent and Business leaders to gather requirements, translate business needs into analytics solutions, and deliver insights that influence strategic decisions
  • Communicate and socialize analytical findings by translating complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations through presentations and storytelling
  • Provide mentorship and thought leadership to team members and cross-functional partners, fostering a culture of analytical excellence and continuous learning
  • Champion data governance practices, including data cataloging, quality management, and stewardship, using a combination of in-house and vendor tools
  • Serve as a domain expert on talent data, business processes, and platform capabilities, ensuring data integrity and alignment with business objectives
  • Contribute to the timely turnaround and completion of prioritized ad-hoc data requests and work backlog from our business partners
  • Understand and document current state data definitions, scope and process flows associated with our platform
  • Build strong relationships with team members and key business partners to establish trust and maintain solid working relationships. Proactively seek opportunities to provide valuable insights and receive continuous improvement feedback from our business partners.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Education & Experience: bachelor’s or master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, data governance, and business intelligence.
  • Alteryx Expertise: Proven ability to design and optimize Alteryx workflows for advanced automation, data transformation, and analytics best practices.
  • SQL Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of SQL, including building and tuning complex queries, creating stored procedures, and troubleshooting across Snowflake and SQL Server environments.
  • Database Knowledge: Strong understanding of relational database concepts and hands-on experience with platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, and SQL Server.
  • Data Visualization: Highly skilled in developing impactful dashboards and visual stories using Tableau and Power BI, with a focus on metric design and stakeholder engagement.
  • Data Governance: Deep understanding of data governance principles including data security, standards, stewardship, and process improvement.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership, through clear communication and compelling data narratives.
  • Insight Generation: Demonstrated talent for translating complex analytics into actionable business insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Technical Versatility: Familiarity with Python and/or R is a strong plus, enhancing analytical depth and automation capabilities.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
