Position Description:

Organizes and streamlines data to facilitate business decisions using data visualization tools – Excel and Power BI. Designs, builds, and tests UI pages/transactions using metadata driven UI. Collaborates with teams to scale the digital experience platform and power customer experiences using metadata driven User Interface (UI). Provides digital solutions using Unified Modeling Language (UML) work products -- use case diagrams and activity diagrams-- in conjunction with technical documentation on metadata driven UI. Performs business, data, or system analysis and program management of enterprise-wide initiatives (digital platform for User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) development, tools, services, knowledge, and support). Defines and coordinates project scope to maintain and improve platform services (product management, omnichannel experience, customer delivery, UI/UX, and platform technology sub domains). Develops digital capabilities for a cohesive customer experience across products and channels, by focusing on customer needs, emerging technology, trends, and enterprise goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintains technical documentation to support customer onboarding and self-service.

  • Supports responses to software incident issues and solutions completion.

  • Creates user stories and maintains communications records for stakeholders.

  • Collaborates on quarterly team roadmaps and establishes milestones for achievement.

  • Synthesizes customer needs, emerging technologies, and financial trends into business strategies.

  • Implements Agile methodologies and runs Sprint activities (Daily Scrum, Retro’s, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Backlog refinement).

  • Identifies gaps in technology and suggests business solutions in consensus with stakeholders for implementation.

  • Participates on quarterly allocations to support customer communication and maintain product databases.

  • Identifies opportunities for scaling products and creates demo transaction pages on UI (for customer’s attention).

  • Documents UI and system requirements, cross-application dependencies, and business rules in Confluence, Swagger, Share Point, and Mural.

  • Schedules and conducts requirement gathering workshops to elicit requirements according to enterprise best practices.

  • Assists with key decisions on platform roles and practices.

  • Collaborates across product areas to craft and validate ideas for digital capabilities.

  • Collaborates to improve performance and scalability of applications.

  • Mentors junior team members.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Analyst (or closely related occupation) analyzing and optimizing the functionality, performance, and user experience of a particular platform or software system to ensure alignment with business goals, in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Analyst (or closely related occupation) analyzing and optimizing the functionality, performance, and user experience of platforms or software systems to ensure alignment with business goals, in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing validation of REST Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Web services using Postman (to ensure data integrity and system reliability) within a cloud-based development environment.

  • DE analyzing and visualizing data trends, (including advanced data analysis, creating dynamic dashboards, and automating tasks) using Excel and Power BI; and generating comprehensive reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and tailoring data solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to meet business needs using Excel, Power BI, and Visio; and gathering product requirements from stakeholders.

  • DE coordinating systems of critical and High Availability (HA) enterprise applications, using Microservices Architecture and Cloud infrastructure; designing and building sample pages using Figma; and creating process flow diagrams to map user journeys and system interaction, using Visio.

  • DE creating data flow diagrams, data mapping documentation, and testing databases within an Agile development environment; translating customer needs into user stories with concrete acceptance criteria using JIRA; and driving solution formulation with a multi-functional team, using SQL, JIRA, and Confluence.
