Job Description:
Principal Systems Analyst
The Brokerage Technology Customer Communications team, in Fidelity Wealth Technology, is looking for a passionate systems analyst to dig into legacy systems to support modernization. Our Systems Analysts work closely with architecture and software engineering to deliver a roadmap for new systems.
The Purpose
As a Principal Systems Analyst on the team, you will be expected to quickly gain understanding of the components of our applications, data flow, integrations and inputs and outputs of the platform. The ideal candidate should be curious, detailed oriented and collaborative.
The Expertise You Have
Deep knowledge of Mainframe COBOL, VSAM files, Batch/Online Process, Batch Scheduler, IOM (Input/Output Modules) and CICS.
Proven experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) preferably worked with DB2, Oracle and/or Postgres and digging into data using logging tools.
Proven professional experience as a Systems Analyst for software solutions, preference around modernizing from legacy to cloud systems. Knowledge of payment systems is a bonus.
Experience researching, optimizing, developing, and authoring solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to complex software systems.
Proven experience with Agile development methodologies
Excellent analytical, problem-solving & interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or related technology discipline.
