PRODUCT ANALYST – Private Market Customer Solutions

As a Product Analyst Consultant, you blend deep experience in Private Company Equity Administration and product development with a passion for analysis, harnessing technology to solve complex business problems, while focusing to deliver and implement technology solutions within a digital experience. We are deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our customers. You will work closely with Fidelity Stock Plan Services and Fidelity Private Shares Product Owners (Squad Leaders) and technology team to create, prioritize, and maintain product backlog, as well as translate business requirements to technical resources to focus the team on delivering business solutions with the highest customer value. The Team

The Product Analyst (PA) is part of the Private Markets Customer Solutions’ Product Analyst Chapter (team), which supports product development across multiple private market domains. The PA works on a multi-functional Agile scrum team (squad), partnering with technology and business customers to develop and implement product and service features in private market administration applications from inception to delivery. Your squad will focus on developing integrated benefit experiences, creating participant personalization, all while simplifying our site interaction to increase engagement! You will help build innovative participant features for Fidelity Stock Plan Services and Fidelity Private Shares platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into system specifications and recommend enhancements to batch functionality.

  • Lead analysis of business and batch processes to identify user needs and document requirements.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams.

  • Facilitate critical coordination across teams including planning, design and problem-solving.

  • Develop and maintain Agile artifacts including user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs.

  • Build and implement test scenarios to validate solution effectiveness and business value.

  • Present findings and recommendations to all levels of management.

  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, policies, and procedures.

Candidates must be a highly motivated self-starter with a sense of ownership, attention to detail and be an effective liaison between partners and your team. Attributes that lead to success in this role include curiosity, tenacity to follow up on details to gain a complete understanding of problem, highly collaborative approach to work, a high level of engagement and ownership of outcomes.

Expertise and Skills You Have

  • 6+ years of experience in business and systems analysis, including Agile methodologies, data analysis, batch application development, data mapping, flowcharts, user acceptance testing, and product documentation.

  • Demonstrate an ability to lead complex analysis and translate highly technical and non-technical requirements.

  • Good business judgment – understands and focuses efforts on key business priorities, thinks holistically, uses business partners and focuses on return on investment.

  • Think strategically – understand customer, business partner needs and prior lessons to advise strategy direction and ongoing decision making.

  • Synthesizing sophisticated data from multiple, disparate sources and present analysis, relevant insights and themes in a simple/clear way.

  • Solid focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Experience with database queries and general data architecture.

  • Familiarity with APIs and batch processing.

  • Superb communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries.

  • Knowledge of Fidelity’s Managed Account solutions and Workplace investment products (preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience encouraged.

The Value You Deliver

  • Delivering software solutions in a Scrum Agile environment

  • Leading and conducting Product analysis to identify needs and recommend effective solutions

  • Managing and maintaining the scrum team backlog, including writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, supporting prioritization, and facilitating refinement sessions

  • Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, development teams, external vendors, and QA throughout the project lifecycle—from planning and requirements to design, testing, and implementation

  • Conducting product demonstrations and clearly explaining new features to large audiences, ensuring understanding and alignment across stakeholders

  • Supporting deployment and business readiness activities, including enablement planning, user documentation, internal training, and communication

  • Effectively managing and prioritizing multiple initiatives and Product analysis tasks simultaneously
