The Role
Consolidated Data Services is seeking a dynamic and results-driven operations leader to help establish and oversee a newly formed Security Reference Team based in Merrimack, NH. This role centers on leading and supporting the operations team to achieve excellence in day-to-day execution and continuous improvement.
This position emphasizes Operations; it is not a Technology role.
We’re looking for a candidate with experience in fixed Income assets and alternative investment instruments such as private credit and broadly syndicated loans (BSLs). The successful candidate will lead efforts to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and governance of security reference data that supports Fidelity’s investment professionals across the globe.
This role offers the opportunity to:
- Help oversee the day to day operations of a high-performing team focused on complex instrument security reference data.
- Partner closely with global investment managers and key business partners on our Fixed Income and High Income trading desks to ensure best in class setup and maintenance of critical reference data.
- Deliver trusted reference data that enables efficient and informed investment decision-making.
- Shape operational processes and data standards for a growing and evolving asset class.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance or related field required
- Financial Services Industry experience working with security reference data preferred
- Knowledge in alternative instruments such as Term Loans, Private Credit, Revolvers, and Real Estate Loans
- Overall knowledge of Securities in the financial industry
- Experienced in managing projects and/or small teams of people in and agile environment
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- Team player who takes initiative and thinks across Fidelity
- Hands on work style with “can do” attitude with strong desire to make things happen
- Preferred experience with Security Reference Data Storage, Large Industry Market Data Vendors, and other data providers in the industry.

- Liaise with customer, business partners, and systems to translate business requirements into data requirements, evaluating and recommending data solutions
- Make recommendations for global operational enhancements
- Participates in new product forums and works with GDS management consultancy team to stay abreast of industry news and developments
- Reviews database queries to analyze and validate data for problem resolution for ad-hoc customer questions or issues
- Participates and/or leads Operations Support projects and initiatives involving multiple business partners, provide subject matter expertise

The Team
The team is part of Consolidated Data Services (CDS), which is responsible for FFIO data strategy and governance, data management, advanced data analytics, vendor relations, research and market data services, and more.
“CDS” is part of Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) which provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products.
