Recommends, designs, or demonstrates research and analysis methodologies to bridge knowledge gaps. Coordinates product release plans and sets the expectations for delivery of new functionalities. Identifies and fulfills training and hiring needs to help the squads and tribes deliver their goals. Provides analysis leadership on complex systems analysis projects, often across subsystems and companies, in a matrix organization. Consults with business users to develop recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinates and conducts interviews with business users to gather requirements, and analyzes technology needs and system and workflow challenges.
Develops recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.
Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex systems analysis projects, and defines project scope.
Coordinates other analysts in the execution of documents on large and complex projects and monitors the quality and progress of documents created by other analysts.
Designs new systems based on requirements.
Coordinates and participates in the definition of test strategies, and coordinates user acceptance testing efforts.
Communicates progress of multiple projects to management, engages stakeholders on a regular basis, and maintains expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
Serves as industry subject matter expert, and identifies other subject matter experts who are the sources of requirements for large and complex projects.
Works with other teams to evolve standards and best practices for systems analysis processes.
Participates in incident/crisis management to assess business impact, determine/facilitate any workarounds, in concert with the production support organization.
Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies.
Coaches and mentors junior product analysts and developers on systems analysis techniques and business workflows.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing automation and data quality testing, and systems analysis on Web-based applications hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud or Microsoft SharePoint, using Java, Selenium, and SQL.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) performing automation and data quality testing, and systems analysis on Web-based applications hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud or Microsoft SharePoint, using Java, Selenium, and SQL.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing API automations to save manual efforts of bulk changes on applications, using Java and Rest Assured Java Library; developing Test automation scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, and Maven; and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS), using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and Jenkins.
DE coordinating requirement gathering using Agile tools -- JIRA, Jira Align, and Confluence; and developing technology roadmaps, strategy, and system enhancements to support business processes, using AWS EC2, RDS, S3, Cross File Transfer (CFT), PostgreSQL, and REST APIs.
DE validating application data by writing complex SQL queries in Snowflake database and PostgreSQL; building Tableau dashboards for business users (for visibility), using database data; and supporting a monitoring and analytics culture across the enterprise, by enabling self-service analytics using CloudWatch and Datadog dashboards.
DE performing product upgrades, plugin installation, data refreshes, and integrations, and providing production and non-production environment support, using Jenkins, AWS RDS Snapshot, and GIT; and coordinating work intake process and integrating complex systems to meet business and enterprise use cases, using AWS Cloud and SQL.
