The Role
As a Market Data Analyst (MDA) reporting to the Market Data Manager within the Investment Information Services (IIS) organization, you will play a key role in supporting the market‑data needs of Asset Management investment professionals and the broader Fidelity community. With a strong customer‑service mindset, you will lead product evaluations and vendor trials, onboard new market‑data solutions, and gather user feedback to help identify coverage gaps and emerging trends
The Market Data Analyst will collaborate with finance, risk, legal, compliance, and numerous investment teams—offering opportunities to build a strong internal network and gain deep exposure to the business.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for market‑data requests through the intake queue.
- Provide high‑quality, timely support to investment professionals, including research assistance, user training, and product evaluations.
- Build strong relationships with investment professionals, Investment Services, and key stakeholders (e.g., desktop support teams, systems development) to understand evolving data needs.
- Promote and increase adoption of existing market‑data tools by maintaining consistent communication with end users and gathering feedback on service quality and new vendor offerings.
- Partner with investment teams and external vendors to secure management approvals for new spend and deliver ad‑hoc cost analyses.
- Assist investment professionals in defining market‑data requirements and identifying optimal solutions.
- Provide market‑data guidance, product training, and customization support.
- Keep internal partners informed of relevant vendor developments and contribute thought leadership on emerging market‑data trends.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2 years of financial‑services experience or relevant academic background.
- Strong customer‑service orientation with a proactive and solutions‑focused mindset.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn market‑data tools and investment applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and research skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Sound judgment, problem‑solving abilities, and effective conflict‑resolution skills.
- Experience supporting product evaluations, spend analysis, or vendor interactions is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with internal partners (investment teams, vendor relations, legal, risk, compliance) on contract renewals and vendor management processes.

The Team
Market Data and Vendor Strategy is a cross‑functional team of market‑data professionals, vendor managers, contract specialists, and legal experts. We provide strategic guidance and exceptional service across the firm, specializing in market‑data and research‑service relationships. As part of the Asset Management Compliance, Risk and Business Operations organization, we manage the acquisition, governance, and effective use of data across Fidelity.
As part of the Market Data Services team and the broader Consolidated Data Services group, you will work closely with investment teams, operations, and finance partners. Your work will help us deliver high‑quality data management services in a more simplified, transparent, and accessible environment.
The base salary range for this position is $60,000-115,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
