The Role
As Manager of Investments & Institutions External Communications, you will help develop and execute strategic external communications programs – media relations and owned/contributed content – that support key priorities for Fidelity’s Institutional business.
The Expertise and Skill You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or a related course of study, but not required
3-5+ years of relevant experience as a communications/public relations professional; financial services experience preferred
Well-rounded communications strategist with experience in media relations strategy and execution
Excellent writing skills and can create content (video scripts, press releases, infographics, social media posts, talking points, statements, bylines) to help drive Fidelity messages to key external stakeholders
Business-minded and a creative thinker: You understand the business’ financial drivers, and align and prioritize high-impact communications for external audiences
Proficiency in creating engaging experiences that resonate with audiences across all communication channels. Connects with audiences on multiple levels and evokes a connection to the topic
Thrive in a fast-paced and nimble environment
A great teammate who can contribute to our collaborative, supportive and positive team culture
Ability to develop and then measure the effectiveness and impact of communications programs
Function as a project manager who is capable of managing multiple and simultaneous projects, ensuring that all efforts meet Fidelity’s high standards in the areas of accuracy, ethics, legal and compliance

The Team
Reporting to the Head of Investments & Institutions External Communications, you will join a dedicated team that touches all parts of Fidelity’s diversified financial services business. The Investments & Institutions External Communications team is part of Fidelity’s Communications organization, which drives all messaging and positioning for Fidelity on an enterprise level. You will be surrounded by some of the industry’s most passionate communications professionals, all working together to use strategic communications to address some of Fidelity’s biggest business opportunities and challenges. Critical thinking, working fast within rapidly changing landscapes, anticipation of business needs, content creation and being one step ahead are all hallmarks of this group. The base salary range for this position is $74,000-141,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
