The Role

The FFIO (Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations) Technology organization is seeking a Senior Manager of Project Management, a strong leader to be responsible for leading activities associated with the delivery, readiness and overall execution of FFIO projects & programs.

This role will require hands-on planning, program management and cross BU collaboration on large-scale, strategic program and projects. This individual will work closely with the executive sponsors, Product Areas and Stakeholders to ensure that the initiatives stay on track and delivers value to our customers.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math or STEM related program
  • Proven experience collaborating, building positive relationships and working successfully across technology, business, and operational functions within a sophisticated agile organization, ideally in financial technology services.
  • Possess technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills and able to engage and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate to technical requirements for engineers.
  • Capable of partnering with and influencing individuals at multiple organizational levels.
  • Consistent track record leading sophisticated programs by balancing execution, priorities, dependencies, risk factors, compliance to regulatory and internal controls while meeting client expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability working within a product management, project management team or relevant experience is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with specific strengths in communicating with senior leaders.
  • Experience driving timely reporting of project metrics, KPIs, budget and resources.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and manage his/her time, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Known for consistently optimizing support workflows and improving the customer experience.
  • Dedicated to creating positive customer experiences through initiative driven support and engagement.
  • Possessing a data-driven approach to understanding client needs, you optimally translate strategic objectives into action and efficiently prioritize to improve value delivered.
  • Energized by working collectively to deliver agreed business outcomes, drawing on the expertise of colleagues to advise the approach and remove impediments to making progress.
  • Flexibility and the skill to both lead and contribute to workstreams are a must.
  • Strong attention to detail as well as effective time management abilities
  • Demonstrated self-starter that thrives in an independent environment
  • Relevant program management and technology leadership focus is significantly beneficial.
  • Champion standard tools and agile ways of working (e.g., JIRA Align) to run program activities, track dependencies, create qualitative and quantitative executive reporting.

The Team

You will be a part of the FFIO Technology Strategy team. We establish governance and provide oversight to enable FFIO technology platform leaders to create timely plans and execute against enterprise security, efficiency, audit & resiliency objectives. We have a relentless commitment to our internal & external partners.

FFIO provides accounting and investment management support services for Fidelity mutual funds and other retail and institutional investment products. These services include calculating and distributing NAVs, distribution rates and yields for a wide variety of investment products, preparing fund financial statements, dividend estimates and tax returns, monitoring delivery of fund trades to custodian banks, processing corporate actions, collecting securities income on behalf of the funds, reconciling, reporting and moving money in support of fund shareholder transactions, and managing fund liquidity.

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
