Position Description:

Accesses, configures, administers, and develops technological infrastructure components, using complex relational database schemas and Structured Query Language (SQL) management tools. Builds and supports products for managed accounts customers. Processes data using SQL and logging tools. Contributes to Agile ceremonies to manage dependencies and feature requirements, using scrum tools (Jira and Jira Align). Provides feedback to leadership on complex systems analysis projects, often across subsystems and companies, in a matrix organization. Consults with business users to develop recommendations in support of complex business needs and opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex systems analysis projects and defines project scope.
  • Collaborates with analysts in the documentation of large and complex projects.
  • Designs new systems based on requirements.
  • Guides the definition of test strategies, and coordinates user acceptance testing efforts.
  • Communicates progress of multiple projects to management, engages stakeholders on a regular basis, and manages expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works with teams to evolve standards and best practices for systems analysis processes.
  • Participates in incident and crisis management to assess business impact, and determine and facilitate workarounds, in concert with the production support organization.
  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies.
  • Coaches and mentors junior product analysts and developers on systems analysis techniques and business workflows.
  • Leads interviews with business users to gather requirements and analyzes technology needs and system and workflow challenges.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and managing Cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions for the financial service industry with a focus on data analytics and Business process modeling integration, using Java and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) designing, developing, and managing cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions for the financial service industry with a focus on data analytics and Business process modeling integration, using Java and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) collaborating with key C-Suite business stakeholders and SaaS third-party vendors to gather complex requirements, assess technology needs, and identify workflow challenges, using Salesforce, Jira, and Confluence in Cloud-based enterprise environments; designing and developing scalable solutions, using Java, Angular.js, PostgreSQL, and supporting services in AWS; and addressing critical business gaps for multi-client onboarding, wire transfer (“Move Money”), and lending applications within a financial services industry.
  • DE leading end-to-end product roadmap for modernizing and streamlining various legacy application services by collaborating with stakeholders and performing analysis for migrating legacy webservices, using Docker, leading E2E testing efforts and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • DE providing production support, performing gap analysis, and triaging defects, using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM); implementing roadmaps to enhance quality and delivery timelines using Agile methodology; and tracking metrics for complex Model-View-Controller (MVC) frameworks using Confluence, Jira, Lucidchart, Salesforce CRM, and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • DE designing, implementing, and supporting SaaS-based enterprise integration solutions by integrating with third-party services including DocuSign, Azure Active Directory, Salesforce, SharePoint, and AWS for background check services -- Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC); and developing integration applications for utility service applications, using Python, Node.js, Cyclr, and Prismatic.
