The Role

Fidelity’s Fixed Income Division manages close to 2 trillion and continues to see strong inflows into our funds. To support this growth and drive scale, we are seeking a Systems Analyst to be part of a growing team that supports our Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) offering (Personal Bond Management – PBM) within the Fixed Income domain.

Asset Management Technology (AMT) is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our agile development team to partner closely with various business and global technology teams to deliver best-in-class products supporting our investment professionals.

As a systems analyst on the team, you will be expected to quickly gain understanding of all the business and systems workflows and components of our applications. You will work closely with the Fixed Income Investment Professionals – Portfolio Managers and Analysts, Traders, Fundamental and Quantitative Analysts, and Operations to understand the business and systems requirements and then help document these for the agile team to deliver. Along the way, you help analyze the system, provide technology solutions, do functional testing and quality assurance, and then help support the application in production. The ideal candidate should show ease at making personal connections, be confident in leading and constructively challenging with a dedicated approach to solving problems and overcoming obstacles.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field
  • 2 years of Business and/or Systems Analysis experience
  • Have end to end knowledge of system interactions and be able to articulate well to different audiences both technical and non-technical
  • Experience in software development, ideally in an agile, team-based environment
  • Experience with database query tools and proficient in SQL skills
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Knowledge of scrum tools – Jira experience desirable
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Strong contributor with a collaborative work style in building business applications
  • You are a self-starter who can rapidly assimilate business processes, goals and objectives and distill them into well-defined requirements

Most roles at Fidelity are Hybrid, requiring associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office. This does not apply to Remote or fully Onsite roles.
