Engineering Lead, Digital Experience
The Role
Fidelity Investments is seeking an Engineering Leader for Digital Experience to lead the delivery of innovative digital capabilities that serve both internal associates and external clients, firms, and customers for our Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS) platform. This role is accountable for driving execution across one or more agile teams, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with business priorities. You will set technology standards, guide design decisions, and develop talent within your chapters. Partnering closely with product leaders, you will translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and oversee end-to-end delivery of digital experiences.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Experience with Java, Springboot, Javascript, and Angular are a plus
Proven experience in technical design and estimation, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and governance controls
Strong ability to define and prioritize technical health requirements, including backlog ownership for technology-oriented items
Deep understanding of technology standards (e.g., accessibility, design principles, security best practices)
Demonstrated experience in optimizing delivery through flow efficiency, quality improvements, tech debt management, and tooling enhancements
Expertise in defining and enforcing quality delivery standards, including clear definition of done
Solid knowledge of production stability practices (reliability, resilience, operability)
Experience in team alignment and resource planning, ensuring associates are effectively assigned to delivery teams
Commitment to associate skill development aligned with technology roadmap and organizational goals
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across agile teams and stakeholders
Ability to influence and drive adherence to architectural principles and technical governance

The Digital Experience product area designs and delivers intuitive, high-performing experiences for our institutional customers—whether they are firms or end investors. These experiences enable customers to seamlessly manage their day-to-day activities, such as placing trades, reviewing account positions, managing profiles, and accessing critical information.
