Senior Systems Analyst

The Role:

The Wealth Client & Advisor Engagement team, within the Fidelity Wealth – Wealth Solutions Experience Chapter Area, is seeking a skillful, upbeat Systems Analyst. This role requires a self-starter who can champion collaboration and cultivate a close partnership with business and the development team to help craft and implement solutions.

You will work in a Squad focused on enabling our Wealth Management business in Fidelity through Flexible, Scalable platforms and report to a Chapter Leader (your manager), whose primary focus is to help you develop in your career and skills as we drive towards increased automation, continuous delivery with quality. Chapter Leaders drive the 'how': skills & mastery, while your Squad drives the 'what'. This is the next evolution of Agile development!

The Purpose:

Fidelity’s Wealth Solutions Domain develops solutions that empower millions of Americans to enhance their financial portfolios, invest towards their goals, and feel secure during complicated times. As a systems analyst on the team, you will be expected to quickly gain understanding of the components of our applications and will work with the team to deliver best in class customer experience solutions. The ideal candidate should show ease at making personal connections, be confident in leading and constructively challenging with a dedicated approach to solving problems and overcoming obstacles.

The Expertise You Have:

  • Previous Systems Analysis experience required

  • Demonstrated expertise interviewing and extracting high quality business requirements from partners using the Agile scrum methodology

  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills, including strong judgement, issues management, and problem analysis techniques

  • Good interpersonal, relationship management, and facilitation skills

  • Proven ability to effectively balance multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail

  • Basic skills in using Snowflake and SQL for data queries preferred

  • Familiarity with APIs and how to call them via an API tool is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of angular components, GraphQL, and NodeJS API is helpful

  • You understand how technology can automate business processes and can effectively propose, challenge and engage in ideation with business and technology teams in formulating software designs and solutions

  • Assist in identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of problems within the production and nonproduction environment

  • Good interpersonal and leadership and influencing skills (without direct authority of others)

  • Skilled in documenting application workflows and able to identify architecture dependencies

  • Determined, self-managed, energetic, passionate, and motivated with the ability to work independently to deliver results

  • Facilitating flow of requirements from the business to the technology team

  • Reducing requirements and design risk and resulting costs associated with rework and redesign

  • Exercise a passion for keeping your knowledge up-to-date with the latest and greatest tools, processes, and technologies

  • Help maintains the high level of integrity in the team

  • Take ownership and accountability for determining what needs to be done

  • Able to digest and break down stories, working closely with the team’s tech lead
