The Role

Market Risk Analysts play a critical role in protecting the firm from losses associated with trading and borrowing activities across institutional and retail businesses. The role involves monitoring and analyzing real-time trading activity, securities movements, and market volatility to identify and mitigate risk exposures. Analysts ensure that customer accounts maintain sufficient capital across a range of market conditions, helping safeguard the firm during periods of stress.

Key responsibilities include daily reporting, responding to low-equity alerts, monitoring institutional utilization of trading limits within the Market Access program, and escalating risks in a timely manner to drive effective resolution.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field

  • 3+ years business experience within a large-scale financial services environment

  • Series 7 (preferred)

  • Proven understanding of the brokerage business, operations & accounting, margin and option strategies

  • Must be able to demonstrate strong investigative and analytical skills

The Team

The team watches the markets closely, evaluates and interprets financial and statistical information and is responsible for assisting in the development, enhancement and testing of the risk management system. The team works closely with internal and external business partners and other risk and control functions.

The base salary range for this position is $67,000-$127,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
