The Role

The Digital Platforms Employer Technology team within Workplace Investing (WI) is seeking an Engineering Leader to shape the strategy, technical direction, and delivery of digital capabilities that support the Plan Sponsor experience. The role will lead engineering teams, partner closely with product leadership, and ensure delivery of scalable, resilient, and modern solutions that meet the needs of Plans Sponsors

The Expertise You Have

  • 8+ years leading fast-paced technology with focus on Full-Stack/Front-End Teams
  • Strong experience managing people and cross functional development teams
  • Robust critical thinking and problem-solving skills coupled with a growth mentality and a desire to collaborate effectively with key business and technology partners across the company
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment and to deal well with ambiguity
  • Must be familiar with Full-Stack/Front-end tools such as Angular, Java, Rest
  • Experience working in an Agile software development framework
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS/Computer Science or related field

  • Leading a Full Stack Engineering development team (including hiring, performance assessments and mentoring the team to their full potential)
  • Ability to lead direct and indirect engineering teams to successfully deliver upon business and technology requirements
  • You will help champion and drive development standards to improve quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Work with product owners to plan releases, coordinate development activities, and prioritize backlogs to meet technical deliverables
  • Ability to collaborate with technology and business partners across Fidelity to provide strategic input into the long-term direction and roadmaps
  • Ability to learn quickly, be flexible, adapt and strive to excel in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Ability to be highly organized, very responsive, and committed to quality and high standards

Our goal within WI Digital Platforms is to build a user experience that delights our customers, anticipates their needs and matches services or solutions to support effective decision making. This leadership role sets direction across the development teams through hands-on leadership. You will be responsible for leading the development of high performance, responsive user interfaces.
