Principal Systems Analyst

The Role

We are looking for a Principal Systems Analyst to join our Digital Platforms Technology team. In this hybrid role, you will operate at the intersection of business analysis, technical solutioning, and project delivery leadership. You will play a key role on a delivery team while also owning end-to-end delivery of initiatives, ensuring alignment across business partners, engineering, and leadership.

You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, QA, Architects, and business stakeholders to analyze requirements, define solutions, and successfully deliver high-impact digital experiences.

The ideal candidate brings strong analytical thinking, execution discipline, and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives while staying hands-on with systems analysis.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, use cases, and functional specifications

- Analyze existing systems, workflows, and integrations to recommend scalable solutions aligned with business goals

- Create and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, data flows, and process diagrams

- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria

- Support API analysis, data mapping, and integration design

- Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to ensure feasibility and design alignment

- Participate in testing phases, including defect triage, validation, and production support

- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

- Lead end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives, from intake through production deployment

- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and delivery roadmaps aligned with business priorities

- Drive Agile ceremonies (planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives)

- Manage dependencies, risks, issues, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution

- Track and report on delivery progress, KPIs, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership

- Coordinate across multiple teams to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery

- Facilitate decision-making and alignment across cross-functional teams

- Ensure adherence to SDLC, governance, and release management processes

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities

- Experience facilitating collaboration between business and technical teams

Technical and Functional Skills:

-Drives complex, enterprise-wide systems analysis initiatives as a seasoned Principal Systems Analyst (10–12+ years experience), leading cross-functional technology efforts while also serving as a strong secondary Project/Program Manager—planning, coordinating, and delivering initiatives in alignment with new operating models; combines deep technical expertise with leadership in stakeholder management, execution oversight, and delivery accountability to ensure successful outcomes across business and technology teams.

- Experience with SQL, Oracle, or relational databases

- Knowledge of web and mobile application architectures

- Familiarity with APIs, integration patterns, and data flows

- Ability to diagram workflows using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or similar

- Experience supporting QA and testing lifecycle activities

Project and Delivery Skills:

- Experience managing technology projects or product deliveries

- Strong understanding of project planning, estimation, and tracking

- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar ALM tools

- Ability to manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations

- Demonstrated success delivering complex initiatives in fast-paced environments

Nice to Have

- Technical background in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript

- Experience with frontend technologies (Angular, React, Vue)

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Familiarity with QA automation frameworks

- Exposure to financial services or digital platforms domain

This team operates through cross-functional delivery teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment, leveraging modern technologies to build scalable and impactful solutions.
