The Role

The Associate Analyst, Global Product & Markets Information supports Fidelity Advisors and Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations by coordinating and executing the setup and maintenance of global market licenses for Fidelity’s investment products. Working as part of the GPMI team, this individual is responsible for driving end-to-end processes related to new fund events, foreign account openings, and ongoing account maintenance across international markets.

The Associate Analyst partners closely with internal operations teams, custodian banks, and external service providers to ensure timely and accurate execution of market-specific requirements. This role includes maintaining awareness of changes in global markets, identifying developments that may impact processes or requirements, and appropriately escalating items to ensure risks are evaluated and addressed. The associate will also contribute to improving processes and safeguards to support operational consistency and efficiency.

With increased ownership and subject matter expertise, the successful candidate will help identify process improvements, support cross-functional initiatives, and serve as a key resource within the team. Their contributions ensure that business partners across Fidelity are well-positioned to support Fidelity’s global investment activities effectively and efficiently.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3 plus years of financial services or operational experience preferred
  • Experience with foreign market requirements, account structures, and global custody practices a plus
  • Familiarity with data tools (e.g., Power BI or similar analytics/visualization tools) is an advantage
  • Diligent with a focus on accuracy and operational excellence
  • Proven ability to contribute to process improvements and enhance procedures and controls
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality results
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent, longer-term projects and deadlines effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, balance competing demands, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners
  • Sound judgment and critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify when to independently research issues and when to appropriately escalate
  • Team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to shared goals

The Team

The Global Product and Market Information (GPMI) group within the Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations (FFIO) division provides information and direction to various areas of FMR, FIAM, FIC, FMTC, Geode, SAI, and FFIO in reviewing the impact of changes to common practices and official regulations in foreign markets, as well as in developing operating procedures that mitigate risk to the funds. On behalf of the funds, it also obtains, monitors, and maintains investment licenses to facilitate foreign market investment. GPMI represents FFIO in on-site due diligence reviews of international territories and serves on Fidelity-wide committees. It evaluates risks in overseas markets and depositories. It offers mentorship to develop the firm’s guidelines for funds investing internationally.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
