Director, University Talent Strategy, Operations & Insights
The Role
Are you ready to build the future of early career hiring at Fidelity Investments? The University Talent team is seeking a Director, Strategy, Operations & Insights to power the next evolution of our early career hiring strategy. This role sits at the center of the function, owning strategy execution, analytics, technology, and operations to drive scale, innovation, and measurable impact.
You will lead a high-performing team and work closely with senior leaders to link data, systems, and actions. This role delivers results in recruiting, programming (including FIDTERN), and long-term workforce planning. We seek a forward-thinking leader with strong business insight and a preference for taking initiative. They use analytics, AI, and modern tools to change how we attract, hire, and develop early talent.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
8–12+ years of experience across Talent Acquisition, TA Operations, HR Strategy, or Analytics, with growing scope and ownership
Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
Deep expertise in TA analytics and data storytelling, with a track record of influencing executive decisions
Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across HR, Finance, Technology, and business teams
Strong understanding of recruiting technologies and platforms (Workday preferred) and vendor ecosystems
Experience leveraging AI and automation to scale recruiting or HR processes
Strong program leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and drive outcomes across competing demands
Excellent executive communication skills, including clear, strategic storytelling & consultation
Self-directed leader who thrives in ambiguity and gets results in fast-paced environments
Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience required
Set and drive the University Talent strategy, aligning to hiring goals and future workforce needs
Own the UT scorecard, defining KPIs, tracking performance, and turning insights into clear strategic priorities
Lead University Talent’s analytics and insights function to inform decisions, improve pipeline outcomes, and demonstrate impact
Drive innovation across recruiting technology (including Workday), AI, and automation to scale efficiency and enhance experience
Oversee vendor strategy, partnerships, and platform performance to maximize ROI and enable growth
Lead budget planning and optimization, aligning investments to business priorities and measurable outcomes
Ensure seamless integration of strategy, insights, and execution across recruiting programs and initiatives
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing decisions through data, market intelligence, and executive communication
Build and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
