The Role

As a member of this team, you will play a key role in facilitating the electronic discovery of relevant data across Fidelity’s data ecosystem, ensuring data preservation and integrity in accordance with established standards. You will manage, monitor, and respond to multiple preservation and collection requests involving electronically stored information (ESI), including email and other electronic data sources.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Purview to support legal holds and preservation exercises, conduct searches, and export desired results
  • Execute and track ESI preservation and collection requests involving, but not limited to: (1) email, (2) instant messages, (3) electronic documents, and (4) call recordings.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate metrics and detailed tracking information related to preservation and collection efforts in a proprietary workflow system.
  • Communicate status among different groups including: (1) eDiscovery team members, (2) litigation support, (3) in-house counsel, (4) corporate security, (5) compliance, and (6) other business partners.
  • Ensure accuracy of the data preserved or collected, confirming that the search yielded the desired results.
  • Assist in refining and documenting the eDiscovery team's processes to ensure work is conducted in the most defensible and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure data of interest can be reviewed on eDiscovery platforms and meet criteria for investigation.
  • Ability to understand and resolve exceptions encountered with the data (i.e., password protected files).
  • Knowledge of the full Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and document retention systems

The Team

The Legal Department at Fidelity provides guidance, oversight, and strategic counsel to ensure that Fidelity and its associates operate with integrity and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Within the department, the eDiscovery team is an integral function, responsible for identifying, preserving, and locating relevant data across the organization. They play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, completeness, and defensibility of information so that legal teams can rely on accurate and trustworthy data when addressing matters.

Together, our teams manage complex legal and compliance issues initiated by customers, regulators, and other stakeholders, including disputes, regulatory inquiries, and litigation, while partnering across the organization to mitigate risk and uphold a culture of accountability and transparency.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$180,000 per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
