The Role
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be working closely with members of Fidelity’s Technology Risk functions to use data to provide insight into risk. You will participate in all phases of a data analytics project lifecycle – from framing the business question/hypothesis, identifying the appropriate data sources, sourcing the relevant data, performing sophisticated analytics, and reporting on the results. You will answer ad-hoc questions and develop data-centric solutions that will be utilized across the Risk organization.
The Expertise and Skills you Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in data analytics or similarly technical field
- Strong proficiency in querying, analyzing, and managing data within relational database environments, including SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, and DB2
- Advanced proficiency and demonstrated expertise with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and Excel
- Demonstrated technical ability of data exploration and visual analytics concepts
- Outstanding interpersonal/communication skills and ability to summarize and present results to different audiences in a clear and concise manner
- Exceptional attention to detail, willingness to collaborate, and ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize workflows and applications using Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate to enhance process efficiency
- Experience in applying AI/Machine Learning techniques to solve business problems preferred
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Deep understanding of how to apply data visualization to business problems and present data in a clear, concise manner
- Proven analytical/problem-solving skills with capability to determine solutions to unusual and complex problems
The Team
You will be part of the Data Analytics team within ETRA. The team plays a critical support role for the business unit technology risk teams. You will help answer complex business questions and tell a story through the creative use of data analytics and visualization. Technology Risk teams rely on data analytics to assist with daily efforts, automate manual processes, and keep dashboards and tools updated and running smoothly.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
