The Role
As the Director of Vendor Data Governance and Quality, you will be responsible for defining and executing the vendor data governance strategy. You will lead efforts to ensure vendor data is reliable, accurate, secure, and consistently managed throughout the vendor lifecycle. Working closely with leaders across Vendor Management, Risk, Finance, Technology, and Operations, you will establish a culture of data stewardship and deliver trusted, certified vendor data that enables better decisions and drives business value.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
We are looking for a dynamic leader with extensive experience in data governance and data quality management. Your ability to guide cross-functional teams and advance central initiatives is crucial. The ideal candidate will possess:
- MBA, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
- Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Master Data Management (MDM), Procurement, Vendor Management, Quality Assurance or related fields.
- 5 plus years of leadership experience managing governance programs and cross-functional teams.
- Proven success crafting and implementing data governance frameworks.
- Strong understanding of procurement operations, supplier lifecycle management, vendor onboarding, sourcing, contracting, and third-party risk management.
- Experience developing data quality programs, scorecards, important metrics, controls, and remediation processes.
- Experience working with ERP, procurement, and supplier management platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Oracle, Workday, or similar technologies.
- Experience leading MDM or data governance transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent executive communication, collaborator management, and influencing skills.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks
The Team
The team delivers insights through advanced analytics, visualization, and data storytelling in support of Vendor Management’s objectives, including cost savings, risk mitigation, process efficiency, and execution of key initiatives. The Director, Vendor Data Governance and Quality will establish a new data governance program with a focus on improving data quality to strengthen the impact and reliability of insights produced by the team.

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues.
