Position Description:
Supports system tools deployment by gathering and understanding user needs and solving user issues. Supports users and log issues using Jira and Jira Align. Manages high priority Jira Align deliverables. Identifies and defines agile tools deployment to ensure work aligns with strategic goals and roadmap. Supports the development of REST Application Programming Interface (APIs), Financial Business Management Application, Reports and Recons. Provides analysis on complex systems projects, often across subsystems and companies, in a matrix organization. Consults with business users to develop recommendations that address complex business needs and opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyzes the current business and technical process, identifies system interfaces and dependencies, and documents process and system flows.
- Analyzes and reverse-engineers existing mainframe applications, translating them into implementation in Cloud and other requirements into clear technical specifications.
- Reverse engineers existing mainframe applications for building modernized applications.
- Defines test cases and ensuring acceptance criteria matches real business value.
- Analyzes real time environmental and data issues, and provides quick resolution.
- Supports activities throughout various testing and roll-out phases, including user acceptance testing.
- Navigates through ambiguous circumstances demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
- Provides technology solutions to daily issues and estimates technical evaluation requirements for technology initiatives.
- Advises senior management on technical strategy.
- Mentors junior team members.
- Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting divisional initiatives.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) executing lifecycle system management to modernize legacy systems into distributed and Cloud technology stacks.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Systems Analyst (or closely related occupation) executing lifecycle system management to modernize legacy systems into distributed and Cloud technology stacks.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
- Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing technical and functional analysis for mainframe and distributed technology stacks based on corporate action processing and notification system; performing reverse-engineering and system analysis to identify existing, current, and future system business requirements; and creating user stories using Jira and Confluence.
- DE conducting data analysis using SQL queries and Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to evaluate existing system data; and generating factual reports to support the identification and documentation of system process flows and business use cases to expose gaps and limitations within the current system.
- DE writing test cases to maintain standard code coverage using Cucumber framework; performing Test Driven Development (TDD) and quality testing to scrutinize implemented business functionalities in software system; and developing and optimizing high volume, low latency distributed database applications, using PL-SQL and stored procedures within Oracle databases.
- DE designing Web applications and APIs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud platform, using serverless architecture and AWS services – Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) buckets, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS), Lambdas, and API gateway; and deploying Web applications and APIs via Jenkins Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using the Blue and Green deployment approach.
Salary: $150,550.00 to $160,550.00/year.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
