Senior Systems Analyst
The Role
Fidelity’s Workplace Investing group is looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to join us in the design and development of mission critical web applications and financial tools using the latest technology stack in a collaborative and engaging environment. As a part of WI distributed Financial Operations Engineering team, you will partner closely with business, operations & engineering teams to implement next generation technology solutions to transform our operational landscape.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
8 plus years of experience in technology, including at least 4 years developing and deploying data solutions
Strong understanding of data analysis concepts and tools such as SQL and Stored Procedures
Proven experience with SQL is required; familiarity with Oracle, MS SQL and any other database is preferred
Background in systems analysis, with a focus on legacy process decomposition, debugging, tuning, test data preparation and refactoring
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently research and address technical challenges while learning new technologies as needed
Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins on AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
Hands-on experience with XML, JSON, Java, Unix/Linux environments, and Shell Scripting.
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams
Ability to navigate ambiguity and perform in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated mindset, with a commitment to resolving issues and delivering high-quality work
Prior Java Development, Database experience and familiarity with ETL methods and tools (e.g., Informatica) is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The Team
The WI distributed Financial Operations Engineering team consists of a team of technologists, dedicated to modernizing and transforming the systems that run Fidelity Workplace.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
