The Role
In this role you will support initiatives that will have a direct impact on the day-to-day operations of the Business Continuity, Resiliency Intelligence Innovation Center and Vendor Resiliency Communities. You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, interacting directly with business leaders and cross-functional partners.
The Team
Business Continuity is a dedicated team of risk professionals who provide the strategic development and execution of a business resiliency program, with oversight of operational, technology, and vendor risks that enables our company’s business operations to continue following a disruption.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- BA/BS Degree in Business, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in business continuity, disaster recovery or other risk management field.
- Disaster Recovery Institute International certification (ABCP/CBCP) preferred or must acquire certification within 12 months of hire.
- Previous experience working in the Financial Services Industry; Financial Operations, Operational Risk or Information Technology preferred.
- Builds strong and inclusive working relationships, in-person and virtually, through collaboration with business partners and colleagues.
- Approaches work with an open mind and sense of creativity by challenging current practices and recommending improvements that drive positive change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to thrive in a cross-site team setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and quickly adapt to change.
- Willingness to learn and reflectively accept feedback.
- Analytical and decision-making skills to assess situations and take appropriate actions.
- Experience with building Power BI or other visual dashboards preferred.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office products; Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc. preferred.
- Supporting program objectives through successful execution of risk assessments, continuity plan development, and testing.
- Emerging critical thinking skills with the ability to devise solutions.
- Help to advance our data analytics strategies through the use of digital technologies.
- Communicating clearly, and concisely; tailoring messaging to audience.
- Assisting in the incident response program and recovery activities for business operations, technology or vendor disruptions (on call rotation/including off hours).
- Supporting/conducting reviews of third-party business continuity plans to identify and document risks to the organization.
- Curiosity and desire to independently support innovative initiatives to understand and manage risk.
- All individuals are expected to cross train and understand the different facets of Business Continuity and potentially rotate through each program.
- Teammate, ready to promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and mutual respect.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
