As an Event Tech Digital Producer (PM), you will support the ongoing direction and robust project management of various digital event projects and campaigns across GPJ’s clients and programs. You will be instrumental in ensuring that these projects meet digital requirements and deadlines, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on time, on strategy, and on budget.
Like most, we are mainly working remotely from home these days. Ideally , the position will be based in San Francisco but we will consider our Los Angeles, Boston, Auburn Hills/Detroit, and Austin offices as well.

What you will do.
As a digital producer you will be responsible for the partnership with client stakeholders and 3rd party software vendors to project manage technical solutions for a worldwide portfolio of in-person and virtual conferences. You will lead day-to-day communication and coordination between the internal account and client teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within set quality expectations, and within budget. You will manage third party technology partners to ensure their work is clearly defined, properly scoped and delivered on time. You will also be responsible for scoping new projects, building timelines, developing budgets, identifying resource needs and recommending best partner opportunities. This role requires strong project management and technical skills.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for the client and internal teams for technical requests, projects and initiatives
- Manage technical delivery of a client’s global event portfolio
- Configure, administer and troubleshoot 3rd party event platforms pre-event and onsite
- Manage technical personnel responsible for the onsite configuration, administration and support of a global portfolio of events
- Average of 25% travel
- Proactively practice risk management including developing viable plans for acceptance, avoidance, and contingency recommendations before risks become issues.
- Contribute to the development of departmental project methodologies by applying best practices and lessons learned.
- Develop, scope, implement and manage project plans; facilitate execution of digital projects across services including file management, timeline management, reconciliation of roles, responsibility, and delivery gaps.
- Communicate confidently project status to the internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Stay current on new technologies seeking out new trends in virtual, social, digital, and vendor capabilities while sharing these insights and learnings within the agency, and with our clients where relevant.
- Lead large cross functional teams under high visibility and high pressure situations.
- Oversee project testing (QA/UAT) of deliverables including providing testing plans and issue resolution tracking.
Who you are & what you will bring.
Experienced.
You have 5+ years in a digital production, digital project management role (preferably in an agency setting) or application development, administration and support with proven success. Your experience includes managing in a multi-client environment with concurrent deliverables. Experience with online virtual platforms is a plus, as is experience in the technology sector.

Skilled.
You have strong knowledge of digital program management and exceptional presentation skills. You have familiarity with the following: project management and development software (i.e. JIRA ticketing, MSProject, and/or Smartsheet Project Management); development process (i.e. SCRUM, agile methodology, sprint planning); and event systems (i.e. Aventri, Bizzabo, Cvent, EventBase, Intrado, On24, Rainfocus, SpotMe, Swapcard, WebEx, and Zoom Events).
