Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience in an investigative role, working with data and generating insights.
  • Experience with SQL in building queries, pipelines, and joining multiple datasets.
  • Experience with stakeholder management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technical field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering), or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python) and modeling (e.g., regression, time series).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to bring structure to ambiguous problems.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

As an Analytics Lead, you will help the team to conduct a complex analysis, building new metrics using newly created data sources, or partnering with Strategy and Business teams to conduct root cause analysis. In this role, you will have to adapt the skills and learn on the job. You will drive clarity and enable smart decision-making for our policy ecosystem.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses and build metrics to help the organisation make the decisions.
  • Drive data strategy for a strategically critical and rapidly evolving part of Google.
  • Create and manage data pipelines, dashboards, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering and Strategy teams to build new datasets, metrics and analyses.
  • Own complex projects, cross-functionally driving solutions to ambiguous problems.
