As Media Supervisor, you are responsible for supervising the day-to-day work flow of the media planning and buying on specific accounts. You are the day-to-day contact with the account team and serve as the brand team’s member. You ensure seamless integration of Planning and Buying functions within the Media Department. To be most successful, you must be confident, seasoned leader with a strong media background.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day media planning and performance across multiple tier 1 accounts and manage one or two smaller accounts with limited supervision.
  • Help define media strategy, approach, planning parameters, and measurement KPIs aligning with overall brand strategy for traditional and digital media channels
  • Manage media flowcharts, spec documents and budget allocation/reconciliation on an ongoing basis, working closely with planners and channel specialists
  • Be self-motivated, proactive, reliable, accountable, detail oriented and analytical.
  • Work collaboratively with client teams to guide strategic planning, leveraging client input, industry research and historic campaign knowledge to develop paid media strategies/plans across all clients and channels based on plan/campaign goals & objectives
  • Collaborate seamlessly with strategy, creative, account and project management teams for optimal flow of work and performance
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and new business pitches
  • Stay consistently relevant and up-to-date on all media trends and technologies across media channels; Must have a passion for exploring cutting edge media platforms.
  • Mentor and train junior media team members.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of agency or equivalent experience planning and buying both traditional and digital channels across multiple verticals, with increasing responsibility (e.g., ad agency media department, media company or brand side)
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills; Ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines
  • Expert proficiency in Google Marketing Platform (Google Analytics, Campaign Manager, DV 360) and paid social platforms (Meta, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest)
  • Knowledge of syndicated research and planning platforms (MRI, Nielsen, ComScore, Pathmatics)
  • Strong presentation and people management skills.
  • Have outstanding organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail and follow up
  • Possess and display strong negotiation skills.
  • Innovative, creative, strategic thinker; problem solver; self-starter.
  • Mentor junior team members within department and across agency.

Salary range - $75,000 - $90,000
