We are looking for a Staff UX Researcher to join our UX team in Santa Clara, CA, reporting to the director of User Experience Design. In this role, you will work on all aspects of user research and usability testing. You will collaborate with various groups across the Infoblox organization, including our UX Design team, Product managers, Engineering, and Product Marketing. Your research findings will inform business, product, and design decisions. You'll be an advocate for our products and help them take their businesses to the next level.They enhance usability by identifying pain points, build stakeholder confidence with evidence-based justifications, and foster better team collaboration. By maintaining an iterative feedback loop and staying updated on user behavior trends. A culture of user-empathy will lead to products that are intuitive, meet user needs, and ultimately result in greater user satisfaction and business success. What you’ll do:
- Leverage user research to align with our business and product experience goals
- Collaborate with Design, Product, Analytics, Marketing, and Engineering teams to shape learning objectives and prioritize research opportunities
- Lead the planning and execution of research studies, ensuring the use of appropriate methodologies at the right times, and manage the research roadmap for your focus area
- Conduct a range of research, from strategic foundational studies to tactical usability and concept testing, to deepen our understanding of user journeys and use cases
- Uphold high standards in research practices and continuously enhance our methodology toolkit
- Design and conduct studies on our diverse global user base, testing designs remotely and within various cultural contexts
- Facilitate and lead design thinking workshops to foster user empathy during ideation sessions
- Translate customer insights into actionable recommendations and communicate these insights to Product and Engineering teams in an engaging and inspiring manner
- Advocate for research findings through written reports, in-person presentations, and by leading co-synthesis and workshop sessions with diverse audiences
What you’ll bring:
- 5+ years of experience as a valuable researcher in a fast-paced data driven company
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into research questions and convert insights into measurable business impact
- Experience guiding teams to prioritize critical research questions and develop mixed-method research plans
- Expertise in creating foundational UX documents, such as journey maps and personas, backed by thorough research
- Proficient with mixed methods research and the strategic sequencing of attitudinal and behavioral studies
- Skilled in visualizing research insights beyond traditional bullet points, while also knowing when to use concise bullet point summaries
- Adept at telling compelling stories using a combination of words, visuals, and data
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to exploring new ideas and driving research initiatives
- Maintains a high standard for quality and attention to detail, with a portfolio required to demonstrate this
- Comfortable with product ambiguity and able to quickly immerse in new problem spaces
- Case studies demonstrating research skills with enterprise class user experience and emerging technologies
- Comfortable leading design thinking workshops, with a track record of effectively collaborating with distributed remote teams

- Be fully engaged with our UX, Product Management, and Engineering teams
- Drive user research, prototyping, and usability testing
- Have the critical SaaS product knowledge required to drive thought leadership
- Understand the SaaS product users, tasks, and environment
- Drive user experience recommendations through research findings to enrich our SaaS cloud services portfolio
After about a year, you will…
- Have the ‘voice of the customer’ through Customer Programs
- Inform business, product, and design decisions on the basis of having developed a solid, shared, understanding of the needs of our product
- Create foundational artifacts that help teams align on top priorities around serving specific segments and user research types
- Play a strategic role in driving the user research for our SaaS product roadmap releases

You can expect our employment offers to take many factors into consideration, including but not limited to the location of the role, internal equity, applicable past experience, individual skill set, education, and professional certifications. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned is the base salary range for the role. The typical base salary range for this position in California is $120,600 - $181,500, plus corporate bonus potential.
