The Institutional business unit provides a broad range of coverage including health and dental care, travel insurance, registered retirement savings and pensions, short- and long-term disability coverage, employee share ownership programs, flexible benefits plan, absence management solutions, defined contribution plans, deferred profit sharing, life and critical illness insurance, accidental death and dismemberment coverage plus wellness solutions.

Responsibilities

As an external Group Benefit Account Executive Mid-Market (51+ life employer groups) the successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Expanding sales growth and advisor relationships in the Toronto group benefits market.

  • Working with the Advisor and our Underwriting/Service teams to acquire new clients

  • Optimizing delivery of value-added products and services;

  • Promoting Manulife Financial group insurance products and services;

The ideal candidate has a passion for winning and being part of a dynamic and rapidly evolving sales environment. They can work autonomously but also able to collaborate as part of a larger sales team. Manulife Account Executives are rewarded with a competitive compensation model which includes base salary plus variable compensation, share ownership, pension, and flex benefits.

They must posses;

  • A bachelor’s degree (in business or related field)

  • Ideally, 3-5 years Group Benefits sales experience and CEBS - GBA Designation

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including proficiency at making and presenting presentations.

  • Strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Professionalism & Integrity

  • Valid driver’s license

Salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
