The opportunity
The Investment Analyst is accountable for providing accurate, thorough and timely detailed fundamental analyses of small-mid-large cap public technology companies in support of our various technology sector strategies to assist in building high-performing and well-structured portfolios.
We are passionate investors looking for an equally passionate teammate. Our technology strategies are managed by a team of investors from across our public equity group. All team members are expected to contribute to investment ideas and participate in portfolio construction meetings– the sharing of opinions, recommendations and experiences is encouraged and expected.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze specific assigned companies, interpret market trends and examine technology sector activity with an emphasis on semiconductors in order to provide information and analysis required in the investment decision-making process.
- Complete deep, independent fundamental analysis of companies, including the assessment of overall company quality (competitive positioning, management, etc.) and financial statement analysis to make investment recommendations.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree required, may hold or be working toward advanced degree and/or CFA
- 2-5+ years of technology investment experience or relevant business experience
- Strong analytical skills to complete detailed fundamental analyses
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver reviews and recommendations
- Good understanding of business and economics to research target companies and determine potentially profitable investments
- Sense of judgment and self-discipline to evaluate multiple opportunities and make appropriate investment decisions

Salary range is expected to be between
$111,000.00 USD - $175,000.00 USDIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
