The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

Independently plans and monitors the development of financial plans and the analysis and reporting of results in a deadline focused environment, working with the team to gather information and resolve issues as they arise. Uses increasing business acumen and analytical expertise to perform ad hoc financial analysis and effectively communicates the results to management. Leads efforts to continuously improve processes to increase the speed and effectiveness of financial analysis.,,

In this role, you will participate in complex financial analysis reports and projects in support of the broader Technology
Organization. Using knowledge of financial practices and procedures, you will, grow your skills in financial analysis,
presentations, and project management in a fast pace and collaborative environment geared toward developing future finance
leaders.


Responsibilities
:

  • Opportunity to collaborate and contribute across Technology Finance driving consistency and gaining exposure to
    multiple sides of Technology

    Participates in monthly forecasting report outs to Technology Sr Management
  • Perform variance analyses (e.g. plan vs actual, prior and forecast, multi-year trends) and identify significant items
    requiring further investigation. Perform follow-up investigation and suggest problem resolution.
  • Oversees financial systems needed for monthly results analysis, coordinating enhancements and assisting in resolving
    production problems with minimal oversight
  • Evaluate stakeholder data requirements; identify and correct gaps in current reporting
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvements to process, controls and technology systems related to
    functions being performed

Note: You will be required to go into the office twice a week if you reside within a 50-mile radius of our offices in Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; and Plano, TX. Please note that this policy is subject to change.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor`s degree (Finance or Accounting) is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of finance experience
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to drive results
  • Communicates effectively with teammates and others, leading meetings and interacting with increasingly higher levels of management to gather information and effectively present results and recommendations
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word is preferred
