Social Content Creator
As a Content Creator at McKinney, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and producing compelling social content that resonates with target audiences and aligns with our clients' brand identities. Leveraging your expertise in social trends and best practices, you will work closely with our creative and strategy teams to deliver culturally relevant content that drives awareness and engagement
● Ideate, plan, and produce high-quality and culturally relevant video, still, and written content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
● Edit and post-produce video content using Adobe Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro and/or After Effects
● Design and create graphics, videos, GIFs, animations, and other multimedia elements that effectively communicate brand messages.
● Write compelling and concise social copy that captures attention, communicates key messages, and encourages user interaction.
● Stay current with social media trends, platform algorithm changes, and industry best practices to ensure content remains relevant and optimized for maximum reach and engagement.
● Write creator briefs, give direction and collaborate with influencers, photographers, videographers, designers and other content creators as necessary to enhance the creative process.
● Work closely with account managers and clients to understand their goals, preferences, and feedback, and incorporate them into content creation processes.
● Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of content while maintaining high quality standards.
● Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for campaigns and platform ideas
● Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, effectively communicating and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
● Consistent proactive attitude toward creative thinking, attention to detail staying updated on industry trends.
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
● Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft engaging and concise copy for different tones and styles.
Professional Skills & Knowledge
● Proven professional experience as a Social Media Content Creator, ideally within an advertising agency or creative environment, with a portfolio showcasing diverse content formats and styles.
● Strong multidisciplinary creative portfolio demonstrating proficiency in content creation, video production, photography, graphic design, and copywriting.
● Strong understanding of various social media platforms, their unique audiences, and content requirements.
● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom, as well as video editing software.
● Bachelor's degree in art, design, photography, journalism, videography or related field is a plus
● Experience in managing and mentoring junior content creators is a plus.
