Position Overview
Lead strategic direction of social practice for Boston office. Directly manage social team, including regular performance feedback, goal-setting, and management of team’s structure and development. Define, document and enforce scalable, repeatable processes and deliverables that ensure excellence in social strategy, execution, optimization and community engagement. Ensure profitability and growth of social practice as an integrated part of overall offering. Continually assess tools and resources used by social team and recommend actions to enhance the team’s performance and profitability. Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advances in social space to ensure agency stays competitive. Serve as client liaison, strategic leader, and point of escalation for largest and highest priority social clients. Provide thought leadership through internal and external publishing and presentations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or social sciences field, and three years of work experience as a Strategist, Senior Strategist, or Strategy Manager or Director. All required experience must have included developing and leading an agency’s hybrid social strategy and content team; developing, documenting and leading the agency’s social strategy development and implementation; establishing and running an agency’s live event social response and crisis response protocols, as well as leading an agency’s approach to real-time or reactive social content creation; representing social & digital strategy in new business pitches; and leading social and digital strategy on consumer brands. Must have demonstrated thought leadership in social media field, by authoring at least 2 published articles or blog posts, and/or speaking at conferences and/or higher education institutions at least 4 times, and/or teaching a course in social media strategy or community management.
Details
The salary for this position is $175,000. 9AM-6PM, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Boston, MA office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
