We’re looking for a driven creative person to help us build our agency operation. Someone who has passion for doing great work for B2B and B2C brands and in every channel and platform and who wants to work inside a brand that has the expertise and outlook of an outside agency. We need your help to build our in-house capabilities, value, and impact of our work across marketing and Rapid7 as a whole.
About the Team
You’ll be a conceptor, creator, strategist, and manager. You’ll work on, and run projects and manage our team of copywriters. You’ll oversee the work of our Design team including art directors and designers. You’ll be involved in strategy, brief-writing, and every phase of content creation, production, and post-production.
About the Role
Reporting to the VP of Global Marketing and Planning Operations, you’ll be expected to understand the businesses you work on, and develop effective relationships with your business partners. You’ll need to help build the brand and raise brand awareness.You’ll need to make our B2B and demand gen work as strong as possible for impact and performance.
We’ll expect you to be up-to-date on the latest work and technology in and outside our industry.
In this role, you will:
Lead and guide assignments strategically and creatively with a global perspective, consumer insights, and conceptual mindset
Immerse yourself in the needs of our key marketing partners in order to provide creative insights, project oversight, and education on the value of creative as it relates to key goals and KPIs.
The ability to showcase competitive or industry related content relative to current assignments we have and share creative insights, production expertise and approaches to help educate partners and support the work.
Dissect complex data, extract valuable insights, and translate them into actionable B2B campaigns.
Engage in simultaneous projects from inception to completion, reviewing strategic plans, concepts, and deliverables.
Provide daily management of your personal work and support your direct reports with theirs, providing guidance, career coaching, and opportunities for growth.
Support your direct reports with the ability to help shape conceptual and channel specific initiatives with an eye to how copywriting and tone can strengthen ideas and concepts.
Help promote a culture of innovation and teamwork. Ensure we have a fearless, happy, inventive, curious, and open environment across our Marketing department.
Work with Project Managers, Operations, and Rapid7 Leadership to identify and implement process improvements to meet project and team needs.
Work with Global Campaigns, Digital Strategy/Media, Content Strategy, Sponsorship, Growth teams, and Customer Communications teams to shape tone and writing content across channels for the brand.
Constantly thinking of ways to improve our work quality and impact.
The skills you’ll bring include:
15+ years of professional experience in broadcast, digital, social, and video creation, with 15 years advertising copywriting background required.
Have managed teams or departments in the past and have examples of helping your direct reports grow their skills and career.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Including the ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups at all levels, including Sr. Management of a client organization.
Proven track record of developing successful campaigns.
Excellent communication and strategy skills.
Able to work well under time constraints.
Possesses strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Bachelor`s Degree in Fine Arts, marketing, design, film or some other creative field preferred.
