UX Prototype SpecialistPRIMARY PURPOSE: The UX Prototype Specialist transforms Sedgwick’s existing digital platforms into intuitive, click‑through experiences that support sales and training opportunities. Using Axure RP, this role builds functional, code‑free prototypes that demonstrate product capabilities, guide conversations, and help the sales team deliver compelling, realistic demonstrations to prospects. The UX Prototype Specialist ensures demos look, feel, and behave like the real application—enabling seamless walkthroughs and user-centric storytelling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prototype Development
- Designs and builds high‑fidelity Axure RP prototypes that simulate real product interactions, including:
- Dynamic panels
- Variables and conditional logic
- Repeaters and data‑driven widgets
- Adaptive and responsive views
- Structures prototypes so that user flows feel natural, complete, and easy for sales teams to navigate during live demos.
- Creates reusable widgets, components, templates, and patterns that maintain consistency across all demo assets.
Data Preparation & Scenario Modeling
- Collects, cleans, formats, and loads demo data into Axure prototypes to support realistic, story-driven scenarios.
- Designs and simulates complex, data‑driven use cases including:
- Multi‑step forms
- Role‑based or permission‑based views
- State changes and error handling
- Conditional branching user journeys
Responsive & Adaptive Experience Design
- Builds adaptive layouts that scale smoothly across desktop, tablet, and mobile so that demos present consistently across environments.
- Ensures interaction models and layout behaviors remain intuitive regardless of device.
User Validation & Iteration
- Conducts informal reviews and walkthroughs with internal stakeholders to validate flows and confirm accuracy of business rules.
- Gathers feedback and iterates quickly refining interactions, content, and visual behaviors to improve clarity and demo effectiveness.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partners with product management, presales/sales, and creative/UX to understand feature intent, demo objectives, storyline needs, and success criteria.
- Aligns with teams to ensure prototypes reflect the latest functionality, terminology, and brand standards.
Demo Environment Maintenance
- Maintains an organized system of Axure libraries, shared assets, and reusable patterns to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Regularly updates prototype content as product features, UI design, or workflows evolve.
- Documents interaction rules, component usage, and demo setup instructions to ensure scalability and knowledge transfer.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Travel as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience
Four (4) years of relevant industry experience to include at least one (1) year of Axure RP (dynamic panels, conditional logic, variables, repeaters, data driven widgets, and adaptive/responsive views) or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience simulating complex, data driven scenarios (e.g., forms, states, error handling, role-based views) preferred.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent Interaction design skills, including clear flows, information hierarchy, and thoughtful micro interactions
- Experience creating and testing interactive prototypes and documenting interaction guidelines
- Ability to collaborate with product managers and non-design stakeholders
- Strong communication with crisp storytelling in walkthroughs and async updates
- Familiarity with HTML and front-end development practices
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.2)
- Fluent in common design software (e.g., Axure, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Windows and Mac literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Analytical and interpretive skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Preferred: basic video editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
- Preferred: Experience with Ceros or similar cloud-based presentation software
