WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Simpli.fi is currently looking for an Email Marketing Specialist, who will join our team based in Fort Worth, TX. You will manage the end-to-end execution of our email strategy, from copywriting and campaign scheduling to technical automation and reporting. In the role you should feel comfortable writing conversion-driven copy as you are troubleshooting platform integrations and analyzing performance data.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Email Marketing & Automation Support
This role combines creative execution with technical management. You will be responsible for writing compelling, conversion-driven copy for newsletters, promotional campaigns, and automated sequences. You will coordinate with stakeholders to ensure a consistent and engaging brand voice in email marketing. Beyond content creation, you will manage the end-to-end scheduling and deployment of emails, ensuring every send is optimized for the right time zone and audience segment. You'll also provide hands-on technical assistance for our MarTech platforms, maintaining customer journey automations and ensuring seamless integration between our various systems and Email Marketing Systems (EMS). Your proactive nature and initiative to learn new things will be a valuable asset in improving our processes.
Reporting and Analytics
You'll assist in analyzing email marketing performance and wider marketing data. This includes generating detailed omnichannel marketing reports, creating sophisticated audience segments, and meticulously tracking the customer journey from the first touchpoint to conversion. You'll help translate data—such as open rates, CTRs, and unsubscribe trends—into actionable insights that inform and optimize our creative strategies.
Technical Troubleshooting
You will be a resource for the team, providing technical support by troubleshooting issues across our marketing platforms. Your ability to quickly diagnose and help resolve problems will be essential for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring campaigns run smoothly.
Adaptability and Initiative
This position is for a proactive self-starter who can adapt to changing priorities. Our marketing strategies are dynamic, and your willingness to learn new tools and adjust your focus as needed will be crucial for the team's success.
Cross-functional Collaboration
You will work closely with internal teams, acting as a supporting liaison between marketing and technical operations. Your collaborative nature and ability to communicate effectively will be vital in supporting a cohesive and productive work environment.

YOU’LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
Experience & Education
  • Professional Experience: 2–4 years of experience in email marketing, digital copywriting, or marketing operations.
  • Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with major Email Marketing Systems (EMS) or Marketing Automation Platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related technical field.
Skills & Competencies
  • Copywriting & Editorial: Proven ability to write persuasive, brand-aligned copy. You should have a sharp eye for grammar and the ability to adapt tone for different audience segments.
  • Campaign Management: Strong organizational skills with experience managing a content calendar and scheduling complex, multi-segment email deployments.
  • Data Literacy: Ability to interpret marketing analytics (Open Rates, CTR, ROI) and use Excel or Google Sheets to organize and report on data.
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email and an understanding of how APIs and integrations work between CRM and marketing tools.
  • Quality Assurance: Extreme attention to detail—you are the type of person who double-checks every link, subject line, and tag before hitting "Send."
Soft Skills
  • Problem-Solving: A "technical detective" mindset; you enjoy troubleshooting why an automation didn't fire or why a layout looks broken on mobile.
  • Agility: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift based on real-time data or business needs.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to creative teams and vice versa.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of SQL for data extraction or experience with AMPScript for advanced email personalization.
  • Visual Literacy: Basic experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva to make minor adjustments to email graphics or layouts.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with email regulations such as GDPR, CASL, and CAN-SPAM.
  • Multi-Channel Experience: Previous experience managing SMS marketing or push notifications alongside email.
