Transportation Planning Analyst

The Opportunity: Contribute To The Growth Of Your Career.

The Outbound Transportation Planning Analyst is primarily responsible for planning outbound deliveries to TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, and Sierra stores across the US. They also support the setup of new stores and relocations of existing stores to new locations across the TJX US network, as well as the shipping of fixtures and supplies to stores and to ARRCs (Asset Recovery & Recycling Centers).

The planning analyst plays a key role in creating the most cost-efficient delivery solutions by targeting high levels of service and lowering transportation costs to find the optimal result. The Transportation Planning Analyst will use a mix of their supply chain knowledge, transportation management system experience and strong communication skills to drive daily operational results and KPIs and implement process improvement initiatives and systemic solutions to solve complex supply chain problems.

Open to Monday – Friday 1:00pm to 9:00pm EST schedule.

The Responsibilities You will Have in this Role:

• Plan TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Sierra store deliveries using TJX Transportation Management Systems
• Plan deliveries to new stores and stores relocating to new locations across all TJX banners (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra, HomeSense)
• Build in-depth working knowledge of the TJX Transportation Management Systems so that you can design, test, and implement new configuration and parameters that drive efficiencies
• Gather and maintain MMX Transportation and Logistics master data
• Lead Outbound Planning continuous improvement initiatives
• Support design, testing and deployment of outbound transportation systems, configuration, and data changes
• Partner with field operations and corporate teams to ensure high levels of store service and cost-effective transportation solutions
• Support outbound transportation projects and initiatives as assigned or directed
• Partner with Regional Transportation Managers and Carrier Management to ensure high levels of operational performance from our carriers and providers
• Monitor store delivery loads to ensure timely and successful completion within BlueYonder TMS, enabling accurate and timely payment of invoices.
• Support consistent tracking and performance against Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Create and follow Standard Operating Process (SOP) guides for Outbound Planning activities including new store setups, store relocations and store deliveries

Who We Are Looking For: You.

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of relatable experience
• Exceptional Microsoft Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Would be great to have Power-Bi, Tableou experience
• Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment; product moves quickly through our supply chain network, it is important to react quickly to incoming requests
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; no day is the same in off-price retail, the ability to assess situations quickly and provide alternate solutions is key to success
• Excellent communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships; you are the face of TJX to many of our external strategic partners and the face of logistics to many of our internal partners
• Flexible and adaptable; priorities change frequently based on business demands, the ability to change direction quickly is critical
• High aptitude for manipulating and making inferences from data
• Ability to operate in the grey
• Based on the needs of the business, associate may be required to execute planning over the weekend and/or a TJX designated holiday

This position has a starting salary range of $66,500 to $83,100 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
