JOB SUMMARY
Supports the District Loss Prevention Manager and Store Management by executing core
responsibilities, focused on providing excellent customer engagement to customers. Deters acts
of external dishonesty within the established customer engagement guidelines. Supports a
positive customer shopping experience in the store and maintains a strong store partnership
with store teams and loss prevention. Exercises sound judgment in decision-making to ensure
their safety, the safety of others, and the protection of the Company brand. Adheres to
Company policies and maintains and supports Company culture and values.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Engages customers within 10 feet of them within 10 seconds and provides a positive
shopping experience, (e.g., greets customers, answers customer questions, demonstrates
courtesy and respect, responds properly to Merchandise Protection pedestal activation).
• Provides an effective deterrent to external theft by maintaining a professional and visible
presence (e.g., front of the store, high shrink departments) and using approved customer
engagement techniques.
• Wears the designated CSA uniform.
• Responds to customer requests for assistance by referring customers to Store Management
or Associates.
• Observes and reports any suspicious behavior or critical incidents to Loss Prevention or
Store Management.
• Review and understand the Store Emergency Response Guide sections titled Evacuating
People with Disabilities, Missing Child, Store Disturbances, Fire, Severe
Weather/Natural Disaster, Bomb Threat, and Imminent Threat.
• Identifies internal theft alert signals and reports them to their Manager.
• Documents incidents as required in case management system.
• Helps maintain a risk-free environment and communicates workplace safety issues to
Management in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
