Join our team in this newly created position and help shape the future of automation for the HomeGoods and Homesense distribution network. The Supply Chain Technology & Innovation Analyst plays a key role in advancing our Automation Strategy by researching emerging technologies, designing conceptual solutions, leading projects, and supporting programs that enhance efficiency, safety, and profitability across our DC Operations. This is a hybrid position based in our Framingham, MA headquarters.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess automation readiness and develop conceptual designs—including physical layouts and process flows—to drive productivity within DC operations.
  • Partner with DC leaders to translate strategic and financial objectives into actionable automation use cases.
  • Support end‑to‑end project management of automation pilots: data analysis, results reporting, and recommendations for network-wide adoption.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key vendors in material handling and supply chain automation.
  • Evaluate new technologies for scalability and integration into the TJX Off-Price DC model, collaborating with IT on security and architecture.
  • Stay ahead of emerging automation and digital supply chain solutions to include Robotic Engineering and AI through industry relationships and research.
  • Develop return on investment models, labor‑savings analyses, and business cases to influence key business partners, complete data collection, and analysis to verify decisions to execute projects.
  • Support pilot testing, UAT, and implementation planning to determine scalability across the network, as well as special projects based on business needs.
  • Engage with external academic and research institutions on supply chain emerging trends and special initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical proficiency, critical thinking, and operational rigor as well as the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business Analytics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, distribution/warehouse operations, industrial engineering, automation, or related analytical/technical roles
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and optimize complex distribution or engineering processes using Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD, Process Simulation and Statistical software tools
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment, warehouse processes, or automation concepts including robotic engineering and emerging AI-driven solutions
  • Understanding of financial modeling, ROI analysis, or business case development
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and make clear recommendations
  • Proven experience leading scalable projects; PMP certification a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
  • Curiosity and initiative to explore emerging technologies and assess business impact
  • Strong collaborative mindset with ability to influence and work across operations, IT, and technical vendor teams
  • Ability to communicate complex information in an understandable way to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Must be able to travel to HomeGoods|Homesense Distribution Centers and vendor facilities as needed
